This toy bin was inspired from a design for a flower box in a  “modern furniture” book I found used at Powell’s Books that was published in 1957.   The toy bin is narrower and lower than the flower box inspiration (easier for the hounds to retrieve toys) and has legs that coordinate with the mid-century cocktail table built previously.

The toy bin is made from solid walnut and walnut plywood and is finished with a hard oil-wax.
