This is a set of low, open-back cabinets designed for an eclectic modern living room.  The cabinets are made from walnut plywood with solid walnut face frames and mid-century inspired bases.   To accommodate a variety of contents, the shelves are adjustable to three heights.  The face and back frames of the cabinets extend beyond the walls to add visual interest ... and can also be handy in an earthquake to keep items on the top from sliding off.

The joinery was done with a new toy in the shop, a Festool Domino DF500.  This is an outstanding tool for loose tenon joinery and helped ensure tight miter joints at each of the cabinet corners.  The face and back frames were also secured with domino tenons.
